Whitecap SUP Guided Tours and Excursions

Our SUP tours are an easy, intriguing, and very rewarding activity for everyone on your vacation!  All activities can be customized to fit your schedule, group size, and confidence level. We provide equipment, instruction, and guidance to show you the beauty of the Golden Isles like you’ve never seen it before — from the unique perspective only stand up paddling can bring — “Walk across the water!”

Launch times vary based on tides

Standard cost is $65/person. (Discounts available for groups of 4 or more and/or if you have your own board/paddle.)

All tours and excursions are fair-weather and water only. We will not take you into rainy, windy, choppy, or otherwise sketchy weather or water conditions. Any reduction in the duration of your excursion due to weather will result in a proportionate $$ refund.

Launch and take out at either the East Beach Causeway Bridge, East Beach at the Coast Guard Station, or 13th Street at Gould’s Inlet (depending on the tides). A one way, point-to-point trip. Enjoy the serene marsh and wildlife as you float with the current. From marsh creek to ocean, this one has a little of everything.  Skill Level: “experienced beginners” and up. Not for first-timers. Approximately 2.5 hours, but varies based on route.

This is best launch for first-time beginners! Launch at Saint Andrews Park on Jekyll Island’s back side. Enjoy the marsh and wildlife as you explore the scenic beauty of the south end of Jekyll Island. Always lots of dolphin activity in this area.  An out-and-back trip. Skill Level: All levels. Approximately 2 hours.

Launch at 13th Street on St. Simons Island enjoy the marsh and wildlife as you explore the beauty of the ocean side of St. Simons Island which often offers interaction with the dolphins, turtles and other sea life. If you choose, you may take this tour into the waves and try surfing! The small, low energy waves typical on the sand bars at Gould’s Inlet are the perfect place to try your first wave. Skill Level Beginner+ or Intermediate. Tour last approximately 2 hours.

Village Creek Marsh Float

Launch at historic Village Creek Landing behind Bennie’s Red Barn and explore the beautiful marshes between Sea Island and St. Simons Island and take out at Gould’s Inlet. Duration 5.3 miles or approximately 3 hours. Skill Level: Intermediate and up!

Bridges, antique trestles, 100-year old+ spillways, majestic river homes, sculling crews are among the sites. Even a surprising amount of wildlife! Skill Level: All Levels

See… I mean, REALLY see, one of the few waterways on the national historical registry. A rare gem of a SUP float in a semi-urban area. The Augusta Canal’s first portion was completed in 1848 but is now returning to nature. A delightful, relaxing escape in which you can cover a lot of water in a short time (5.5 miles in under 2 hours). A steady flow can take you to your take out point without a stroke if you choose. Various take out points give lots of options for duration of your experience. Skil Level: First timer and up!
